Dalor
From Codex Vocrotha
Dalor is one of Vocroth's primary nine deities; in the Creation Myth he is the last of the Gods to appear, and when he finally does he has apparently been driven mad by the drums of Pag'a, who continues to fuel the conflict between six of the gods. Dalor determines that all creation is inherently flawed from the meddling of his siblings, and decides that the only way to set things right is to destroy what has been made and start fresh. The Act of Dalor provoked war between the Gods, and his stance ultimately ended up as the rallying point for his allies, the Lords of Night.
Dalor's role in the pantheon is the most questionable; in his role as destroyer he brings pain and loss wherever he goes, but in the same vein his stated intent is to ultimately remake Creation such that none of the flaws introduced by the other Gods can take hold. His followers see Dalor not as a Mad God, but as a messiah who will one day remove human suffering entirely and create a paradise for those souls who will come after, and believe that their own sacrifice can pave the way for this paradise if they can overcome their enemies, the Lords of Light. His detractors hold a rather dim view of him though, perhaps understandably: for a god whose stated desire is to remove human suffering from the world, he has certainly introduced his fair share over the millennia.
