Feralis
From Codex Vocrotha
Physical Appearance
It is a mistake to lump all of the animal-men into one race for any reason, for each individual subrace is an utterly different being than its cousins. Nevertheless, such "lumping" has already occurred in the common parlance, and so the tall, sentient animals are known now as the Feralis, or the Feralin races (though some still call them the Beast-men, or Bestials, names they are well-known to despise).
In general, the Feralis are bipedal, anthropomorphic, sentient beings who show many and varied natural abilities that mirror those of the animal they resemble. Many consistent subraces have been identified, though the occasional individual being may show traits from species not commonly associated with an established clan. Their dependence on their innate, natural abilities has made them wary of magic, however.
Sociopolitical Outlooks
As widely varying as physical appearances, no consistent social behaviors, political predelictions or philosophical viewpoints can be seen as common across the Feralin subraces. There is no one central ruling body of the Feralis, nor even of any of the Feralin sub-races, so by and large the Feralis have shown up on whichever side of a conflict they feel most comfortable with. In general, that usually means lining up with whoever is most stridently opposing the forces of the Lords of Night.
Allies & Enemies
The Feralin do share one common thread: there is an almost unconscious racial predeliction to fight alongside and for the Drakkhozhn, who they universally see as some kind of older relatives. Beyond this, however, relations vary widely and over time.
